Liposuction is often done in combination with other cosmetic surgeries like removal of excessive skin.The most frequent body areas treated are the abdomen, the legs, the middle and outer thighs and the flanks. The surgery is done on the stomach and/or intestines to help the patient with extreme obesity lose weight. Usually only obese people with a BMI over 40 will be offered this type of surgery.
